beautiful birds - inspired by artist Geninne Zlatkis

I admire the art of Geninne Zlatkis so naturally I wanted to expose my art students to her amazing work. This was the process for our 1-hour class:
1. Wash 9x12 watercolor sheet with one color. 2. While that is drying, look through bird books and practice drawing birds. 3. Use colored pencils to add detail. 4. Cut out bird and glue to dried watercolor sheet. 5. Final step, true to Geninne's style, use a small brush and white acrylic paint to add detail.
I missed taking photos of a few of the students. Darn!
